Enamel advantages

The enamelled units combine excellent chemical resistance of the enamel comparable with laboratory glasses and good processibility and mechanical properties of steel.

The enamelled heat exchanger is a horizontal or vertical unit that serves to exchange heat using liquid or gas medium. The exchangers are used to heat or cool flowing substances. As the medium, water, water vapour or other medium (salt brine, oils etc.) can be used.

The unit is equipped with input and output outlets for heat medium and for the substance itself. The enamelled heat exchanger can work at the pressures of -1/+6 bars and the temperature of 20°C/+200°C. The exchanger dimensions and power, design version, number, dimensions and position of the exchanger outlets can be changed according to particular requirements of the customer.

The exchanger seating is on four feet or legs, or on divisible legs. The feet and legs include holes for screws.

SURFACE FINISH

The inside surface of the apparatus is protected by chemically very resistant enamel that is resistant to all acids and solutions and theirs salts except for hydrofluoric acid and fluorides. Its use in alkaline environment is limited depending on temperature. It is recommended that it be used for pH 12 solutions up to the temperature 100°C and for pH 14 solutions up to 50°C. The outside surfaces are coated with preservative prime.

Thermic properties

When applying, avoid rapid temperature changes when the enamel layer passes from pressure stress to tensile stress. The most critical are rapid cooling events from the enamel side and sudden heating from the steel side. It is recommended that the heating and cooling be even if possible, 3C /min. max.

USE

The enamel heat exchangers are used mainly in chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries to exchange heat for liquid or gas substances.

a) For operating pressure from -1 to 6 bars

b) For temperatures from -20°C to 200°C
