Demountable plate heat exchangers with seals are designed primarily for heating or cooling media. They are mainly used in plants where it is necessary to control and clean the indoor environment such as the food industry. We are one of the leading suppliers and manufacturers of demountable API Schmidt Bretten heat exchangers. We currently offer several types of demountable heat exchangers. These differ in the size of the heat exchange surface and the flow rate which are the main parameters influencing the overall performance of the exchanger. The smallest type of demountable heat exchanger in our production program is the SIGMA M7 (Si7) model and conversely the largest model is the SIGMA M306 (Si306).

Demountable heat exchangers differ from welded plate heat exchangers mainly in that the heat exchanger can be easily disassembled, cleaned and reassembled at any time. Instead of a solid weld, a seal is used for the heat exchangers. The exchanger consists of a set of heat exchange plates with seals, partitions and pressure plates tightened with tightening screws. This makes it easy to replace any heat exchanger plate or seal. Demountability and therefore cleanability of exchangers is their great advantage. Cleaning can be performed chemically (by chemical flow) or mechanically.
The detachable plate heat exchanger consists of a set of plates arranged in series and tightened by means of screws between the fixed and the pressure plate. Each of the plates is provided with a seal thus creating a system of separate channels for the flow of the primary and secondary medium. The plates are pressed so that intense turbulence occurs in the flowing medium which increases the heat transfer. It is possible to say that our plate heat exchangers have 3 times higher efficiency than tubular heat exchangers.
SIGMA plates as basic modular elements play a major role in the excellent thermodynamic properties of heat exchangers. The media paths in the plate set depend on the thermodynamic requirements for the exchanger by the customer. To meet customer requirements and operating conditions of the technology SIGMA boards with several pressing variants are used. By combining differently perforated plates and size variations with parallel or serial arrangement of intermediate plate channels, optimal parameters in the operation of the device are achieved.

When using a heat exchanger with a seal, it is necessary to follow certain rules depending on the temperature and the type of medium used. If the temperature is constantly exceeded the seal ages rapidly.

The seal is attached to the plate either by gluing with special adhesives or by a mechanical "click" fastening system.
The heat exchanger racks are designed for different operating pressures. The surface treatment of all-stainless steel stands is done by polishing or ballot paper or in the case of carbon steel stands with a surface protected by paint, shade RAL 7001.
Depending on the needs of operation technology requirements and EU standards the exchangers can be equipped with tanks, deodorizers, hot water circuits, steam mixers, pumps, fittings, reamers, test taps, etc.
Direct connection on the front plate, clamp connection, flange connection, threaded connection, aseptic connection or connection with a pipe thread, "O" ring, other sockets according to DIN, ASME, etc., socket size DN25 to DN400.
Demountable plate heat exchangers with seals are easy to maintain and clean or they can be supplemented with additional plates when increasing or decreasing the transmitted power is required. The construction is detachable and thus allows easy replacement of plates or seals. Our exchangers are made of quality material so they can work even in demanding industrial conditions.
